We Want What We Want Because Of How We Think It Will Make Us Feel

I don’t think we want anything because we genuinely want that particular item/experience.

Instead what we want is because of what we think we will feel in the act of getting it.

We want a new car because it will make us look cool and impress people, which will make us feel better about ourselves.

We want to lose weight so we can look better, so we can feel better about ourselves, and get more attention from the opposite sex, which also makes us feel better about ourselves.

We want to save money so we can finally experience the peace of not living paycheck to paycheck.

We want to travel because we want to feel the excitement of seeing something new, or something we have dreamed about seeing for our entire lives.

What if you could just bypass that whole “getting” experience and just get to the end goal?

Guess what, you can.

And all it requires is that you choose to do so.

Decide you’re cool now.
Decide you’re impressive enough as you are now.
Decide to love yourself now.
Choose peace now.
Choose to find excitement and dreams in your every day life.

Is it easy? Not always. But the more you do it, the better your life becomes. And all you have to do was identify how you want to feel, and just choose to feel that, right now.

It really is that simple!

This is a key thing I’m working on right now. Give it a try for the rest of the and let me know how it goes!  Whatcha got to lose 🙂
